TIBO RESET Β· WORTH IT?
Was this Codex reset worth it?
Tibo announced a reset. Did it actually help you?
A reset refills your window β and restarts it. See which one wins for you.

Paste /status or enter the two readings yourself, then set the reset moment and your pace.

How this is calculated
Two futures are played forward from the reset moment and the lockout time is compared. Without the reset you keep what you had and roll over on your own schedule; with it you go to 100% and your schedule restarts.
What it assumes
- You spend at a steady rate. Real weeks are lumpy, so treat the output as a direction, not a promise.
- A reset restores the full weekly window and starts a new one from that moment.
- The comparison runs 14 days, long enough for both futures to collect their next refill.
- Only the weekly window is modelled. The Spark meter runs on its own clock and is untouched by this.
This page cannot see your account. It knows the last verified global reset because this site monitors and verifies those publicly β everything else is what you typed.
Banked reset: spend it or hold it?
The same arithmetic, swept across the moments you could still spend it. Holding lowers the quota you are protecting but also delays your next refill.
Optional. Banked resets lapse 30 days after they are granted.
Reset value questions, answered
How can a reset be bad for me?
It restarts your weekly window. If you still held most of your quota, the top-up gives you little and your next rollover moves later β so you can end up hitting the limit at a moment you otherwise would not have.
Where do I find the percentage to enter?
Run /status in the Codex CLI or open your usage dashboard. Enter the weekly figure as remaining, not used. The dashboard anatomy page explains every meter.
What if I do not know my own reset time?
The page falls back to the last verified global reset, which is close for accounts that were reset by it. Entering your own time makes the answer specific to you.
Does this send my numbers anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in this tab. The only network request the page makes is for the last verified reset time, which is the same public data the rest of the site publishes.
Is the weekly limit a fixed number of messages?
No. OpenAI publishes no weekly cap, so the meter is a percentage of an undisclosed total. That is why this page works in percentages and time rather than message counts.
